  1. There are still 7 garden plots available.\u00a0 We have asked the City, via Bonnie West at DPW, to reinstate the waiting list, as there is no one left on the current waiting list; the City web site lists us as full.\u00a0 Three gardeners still have not picked up their contracts\/paid their fees\/ filled out the forms. \u00a0Carla has contacted them several times to remind them.<\/li>\n
  2. We \u00a0need signs for the compost pile, the weed pile, and a new welcome sign. We will apply for funds to purchase what we can via the Grow Pittsburgh 2014 Community Garden Sustainability Fund, due May 23rd<\/sup>.<\/li>\n
  3. Plots should have been prepared by now, and planting must begin by June 1st<\/sup>. At the general meeting next week, we will need to take note of who has not \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 yet worked their plots.<\/li>\n
  4. Kristen has been working with her communications committee to create the \u00a0new website (which will be hosted through SSSNA), and prepare for using \u00a0mail chimp for all group email communications.\u00a0 They will be merging the \u00a0 current blog into the website.\u00a0 Lisa Elliott has created a Twitter account. \u00a0There are currently two Facebook pages, one of which will be closed because it is access by invitation only.\u00a0 The bandishaum@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0account will be closed; email will be forwarded to\u00a0bandischaum@gmail.com<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  5. We still need a large chalk board for the side of the shed and a better bulletin \u00a0board.\u00a0 Kristen will donate a bulletin board; keep your eyes open for a chalkboard.\u00a0 We also need chains and locks to keep folks from dumping in the \u00a0jersey barrier and a pole for the bat house.<\/li>\n
  6. What should we do about the strawberries, which are becoming invasive, in some instances?<\/li>\n
  7. Carla asked, and will ask on Wednesday, about what we should do with the\u201cArt in the Garden\u201d funds from Awesome Pittsburgh.\u00a0 We decided to purchase at least one picnic table and bench set, adult size, and at least one for kids.\u00a0 We need a means of storing the art supplies that will be \u00a0 purchased for the garden.\u00a0 We also need to find out how many children would be likely to attend an Art in the Garden event, and what their ages are.\u00a0 Maybe a survey would be best?<\/li>\n
  8. We discussed having Burgh Bees come out to get us started with mason bees.<\/li>\n
  9. Several folks mentioned that the water buffalo taps are difficult to turn.\u00a0 We\u2019ll \u00a0 try WD-40 first.<\/li>\n
