This Saturday (June 1st)

If you happen to be up at the garden this Saturday morning please stop and say hi or lend a hand to high school student and SCA crew member Charlene Ward who will be working on her school service project in the garden.  Charlene and some volunteers she is bringing will be working, starting at 9am,  to prepare unused plots that will be going to folks on the waiting list.

“My graduation project topic is habitat loss. This garden will easily allow me to discuss  the issue of habitat loss with the high school volunteers I plan to  bring” , said Charlene
Other projects they may be working on if time allows is spreading mulch in the pathways and painting the shed.  Please come up, say hi and thank you or even better, lend a hand.
Charlene said she is very anxious to begin working with the garden!  “Hopefully some of the volunteers I bring will continue to offer their  time to the garden; I know I will.”
